Providers

The Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women’s Sport offers an opportunity for women in sport to apply and participate in an annual professional development Program.

8 core modules have been identified in the Program that are delivered annually.  The modules are based on the technical, physical, psychological, and social skills and competencies for roles in sport.

They include:

  • Leadership
  • People, Culture and Environment
  • Media and Social Media
  • Psychological and Mental Fitness
  • Empowerment and Connection
  • Physical and Well Being
  • Financial Literacy
  • Social, Diversity and Inclusion

Delivery is customised to accomodate women’s involvement in the sport industry.

Sport SA seeks expressions of interest from providers from time to time, for the delivery of the eight core modules, to be delivered in person.  Each core module includes a practical element relevant to the content.  Online, digital, or printed resources are to be developed to assist with learning outcomes.  It is envisaged modules will be full day workshops, that can be delivered either over a weekend or during business hours, throughout the year to accommodate all participants. Modules will be full day workshops.

For further information about when expressions of interest may open, please contact Sport SA Women’s Sport Lead Julie Anderson, via email womenssport@sportsa.org.au
